Zoetrope

For my Zoetrope insert I illustrated two people fencing. I think it turned out really well.

And this is it in motion:

Bird Print

I did a dry point print of a bird, then added vines and patterend branches for the background.

Dreamcatcher Screen Prints

This is my design for a screen print. I drew the dream catchers with pen and ink, then made them into a pattern.

Prints with various colours:

Overlaying different patterns

I also did a dry point print of my pattern.

The Hunger Games Book Cover

This is my book cover design for The Hunger Games.

I decided to illustrate the fact that Katniss is a plant, with arrow shaped leaves, so it fits with the character.

'Earwigs'

For a brief we had to Illustrate what we heard; it could be from a film or just from walking down the street.

Crime - The Theft of Stamp Albums

I discovered a newspaper from 1906 that had a story about a crime that was committed involving stamps, So I illustrated it.

The Stamp Collector aka Victim

The Thief

The Police (Illustrated as a knight as his name was P.C. Knight)
I created the stamps so they match up so the illustrate the whole story.

Detective Portraits

This is a portrait of the famous Sherlock Holmes.

This is a more abstract version of Sherlock Holmes as I used the lines connecting the documents to make the outline of his face.

Poison Bottles

I designed bottles for a screen print which was inspired by Maria V. Snyder's 'Study' book series.

The 'Butterfly Bottle' is meant to represent the poison Butterfly Dust in the book, as that is the 'fake' poison that stops the main character, Yelena, from escaping her duties as a food tester for the Commander. If she doesn't get the antidote every day, she would die.
This bottle was illustrating another poison, I wanted the outside to have an essence of what's in the bottle.
